Driven by passion

Founded by Paul deGrood through the passion of cabinetry, Woodworking by DeGrood created its mark in the custom cabinetry business. Paul decided to open up Woodworking by DeGrood in 1996 with three core values: Quality Materials, Precision Craftsmanship, and Customer Relations. Since 1996 Paul as work on a vast amount of projects including custom cabinets, mantels, furniture, bathrooms, and kitchens, all hand designed and built.

Paul DeGrood’s passion for woodwork was first fueled in the art classes taken in high school. He enjoyed the creativity involved in making art pieces, and seeing the finish product. As Paul grew older and began working, he quickly realized that sitting behind a desk and doing paper work was not for him. He took his creativity to designing and building custom cabinets. Paul decided to open a custom cabinetry shop in 1996 in Historic Buford. To this day Paul still loves designing his products and seeing the end result.

A history established in products that last

A lot of furniture diminish in quality and design over time. Often the quality of furniture is below satisfactory and may last up to 10 years before needing to be replaced. This is due to cheap materials and overseas production. Woodworking by Degrood does neither of these things. Each piece is design to last, and provide a monument in your family that has a rich amount of memories that can be passed down through generations.

If you are interested in getting in touch with Woodworking by Degrood about a project, or a piece of furniture send us an email from our contact page. We can talk about your project scope and get you started on the path of owning a piece of furniture that last.
